3 Time Familiar Time Wasters

I heard you loud and clear. Time Management is the one topic you could use the most advice in.  But before we get to the solution, I think it’s important we recognize the things that deplete our most precious commodity.  Time!  Sometimes we have to work a bit backwards to get to the solution.  I’m sure you’re familiar with the saying, “you’ll never know where you’re going until you know where you been.”  Well, I know where I’ve come from in time management and that’s why I’m sharing with you the 3 Familiar Time Wasters.  If I was a betting woman, I’m willing to bet you do at least one of these on a daily basis.

1. Internet Surfing

That’s correct, internet surfing consume a lot of our precious time. Whether it’s checking emails, shopping or social media interaction, research shows that on average, Americans spend about 23 hours online each week.  That’s about 3 hours per day.  I don’t know about you but 3 hours a day is a good chunk of time considering most of us spend 8 of our hours (if not more) working. So when do we relax or enjoy family and friends if we’re online?

2. Procrastination

If you ask me procrastination is just another way we get out of doing what’s really important. Go ahead, be honest, the time we spend putting things off, we could have updated our website, emailed clients or wrote a chapter to a book.  Procrastinating robs us of valuable time.  Why let procrastination rob us our valuable time?  Instead, let’s make a conscious decision to simply do what’s needed.

3. Negative Thinking

I’m sure you wasn’t expecting negative thinking to be on the list of 3 Familiar Time Wasters. Well, it is.  When we use our energy on negative thinking we waste valuable time. Negative thinking stipends us and leaves us unable to focus on that which is important.  Negative thoughts stunt our growth and ability to move in the directions of our goals. Why waste valuable time being negative?  Instead, get  “The Guide” and begin managing your time, today. The guide discusses the three p’s to better time management: planning, prioritizing and prepping.
